Neuroscience for didactic continuity

Abstract

The project aims to explore the potential of the neuroscientific approach and brain-based research to foster the autonomy and socio-relational skills of students in the transition between the last class of nursery school and the first year of primary school, and between the last year of primary school and the first year of lower secondary school.

The study embraces the potential of research-training models, which offer the advantage of actively involving stakeholders (in this case teachers) in processes of study and reflection on the practices implemented. The project promotes continuous planning activities between teachers of nursery, primary and secondary school, through a training course on the topic of neuroscience in the didactic field, addressed to teachers in blended learning mode, and through experimentation in the classroom, and the evaluation of the impact on teachers and students.
