L-33 Online Degree in Economics, Management and International Markets

Corso di Laurea Triennale in “Economia, management e mercati internazionali” [Classe L-33]

The online Bachelor’s degree course in Economics, Management and International Markets aims to train graduates with interdisciplinary skills in general economic, business and financial disciplines who are able to operate in national and international contexts (institutions, companies, agencies) and in institutions with prospects for internationalization.

The training course provides sound basis for economists able to operate in companies in general, and in particular, in the managerial and in the financial sectors.

It should be noted that the Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management and International Markets is a newly established course. The academic year 2020/2021 is the first year of the programme and therefore at this stage it won’t be possible to request any credit recognition for the following years.

The training path in Economic Sciences fosters specific competences such as:

  • ability to understand and apply quantitative and theoretical notions and skills (characteristics of general economic areas and mathematical-scientific areas) in synergy with the most applicative and operational skills (typical of business, financial and legal areas);
  • ability to understand the international dimensions of the functioning of markets, industries, companies (international and/or in the process of internationalization) and international institutions and organizations. This will be achieved also through tools for statistical, cultural, and geographic-economic analysis, with attention to the opportunities offered by digital technologies and the availability of large data aggregates;
  • ability to understand and apply knowledge regarding financial instruments, ability to evaluate the investment/financing profiles of households, businesses and institutions;
  • The ability to analyse and autonomously process information, characterising a versatile professional figure who is oriented towards problem solving, effectively and efficiently manage one’s own time and that of others, and team working.

Graduates job opportunities lay in micro-enterprises, small-medium enterprises (also with internationalization perspectives), medium-large companies (also with internationalization perspectives), multinationals, commercial and consulting firms, consulting firms, public institutions. The professional path also offers the following specific professional opportunities: accounting expert (section B of the professional list), labour consultant, auditor, upon completion of the foreseen traineeships and professional qualification exams.

Graduates can also work in institutions such as, for example, ministries specialised in international economy (eg. Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economic Development), agencies specialised in international economy (eg. SACE, SIMEST, ICE, “Deposits and Loans Fund”) in international or governmental organizations (eg. United Nations; FAO; World Bank); Central Banks (eg. Bank of Italy, European Central Bank), Consob, Social Security agencies (eg. INPS. Research Centres).

They can also work for Banking Institutions, Business Banks, Intermediaries, Financial Brokerage Companies, Investment Funds, Pension Funds, Real Estate Funds, Asset Management Companies (SGR), Financial Advisory Companies.

Enrolment to the degree programme in Economics management and international markets is open to all students in possession of any secondary school diploma (upper secondary schools, of a five-year duration) which guarantees a solid basic culture, in particular, in logical-mathematical disciplines (elements of maths and geometry) and basic knowledge of computer technologies (use of the PC and most common applicative programmes).

In the case of enrolment or transfer from another course, the amount of € 16.00 of the revenue stamp must be added to this amount.

The annual fee can be divided into two instalments:

the first instalment of € 1,100.00 to be paid upon enrolment (if made before 10 May, 2021);

the second instalment must be paid by 10 May 2021. At the request of the student certifying that he/she belongs to bracket n. 1 (see table above) the amount of the second instalment will be € 700.00, instead of € 1,100.00.

The student who intends to make use of this reduction must connect to the student portal and, in the “Personal data” menu, select the item “Tax return” and follow the procedure indicated, necessarily attaching one of the following models: Unified Form or Form 730 of the year 2020 (referring to the year 2019). Unemployed students will have to upload a self-certification declaration of unemployment (pursuant to art. 46, Presidential Decree No. 445/00).

Once this documentation has been uploaded, it will be necessary to contact the Academic office (segreteria@iuline.it) to verify the adequacy of the documents and proceed with the manual recalculation of the second instalment.

This procedure must be carried out by the student before the due date of the second instalment. Those who have not submitted the request for a reduction of the second instalment will be required to pay the instalment envisaged for income bracket n.2 (see the table above).

Those who enrol after 10 May 2021 will have to pay the enrolment fee (€ 1,800.00 / 2,200.00) in a single solution and submit upon enrolment an application for a reduction in the second instalment.

The payment of the second instalment made after the deadlines set by the Administration (for newly registered students who will register before 10 May, 2021) will be subject to the payment of default fees determined as follows:

 

– delays up to 30 days: late payment € 30;

– delays of more than 30 days: Late payment fee € 50

Students regularly enrolled in the years before the academic year 2019/2020 (enrolled in successive years) must comply with the following deadlines for payments:

 

the first instalment by 5 October 2020;

the second instalment by 10 May 2021.

For payments made after the established deadlines, the default fees for the first and second instalments will be applied.

In order to take the exams or other forms of verification and acquire the relative ECTS credits, students must be in compliance with the payment of the fees. At the same time, it will not be possible to issue any certificate relating to the university career of students whose position is irregular.

After online enrolment, the student is assigned the credentials (username and password) to access the IUL platform.

Within the IUL platform you can follow the video lessons at any time of the day and from any device. Support materials (slides and documents in pdf format) and podcasts are available for each discipline. The student is assisted throughout the course by a specialized tutor who, through the forum, supports all teaching activities and responds to requests for further information. There are also optional (synchronous) virtual meetings involving the whole class. At the end of each module, the student will have the opportunity to take intermediate tests (study of individual cases or project works).

 

The exams take place face to face and in oral form in one of the IUL affiliated offices in Italy.

The duration of the Degree Course in “Economics, management and international markets”, Class L-33, is three years for a total of 180 ECTS credits.

For the academic year 2020/2021, the start and end periods of the teaching activities are as follows: 14 October 2020 – 5 June 2021.
