Docenti, tutor e ricercatori

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Sociology at the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Carlo Azeglio Ciampi Institute for Advanced Studies in Florence.

My current work ranges  from sociological theory, sociology of knowledge and expertise, collective action and technological innovation with a specific focus on labor and environment. My book The Contentious Politics of Expertise (London-New York: Routledge, 2020) looks at how expertise and knowledge intersect political processes, social movements and institutions in the definition of environmental issues and technological projects. I am at present working on the social shaping of digital capitalism and industry 4.0 and its impact on labor processes, collective agency and identity.  My essays have been published in English in: European Journal of Political and Cultural SociologyGlobal DialogueInternational Journal of Politics, Culture and SocietyPartecipazione & Conflitto, Sociologica.

As a visiting scholar I spent a semester at the Urban Democracy Lab, New York University in 2016; as a research associate I worked at Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Milan . I have organized workshops and taught courses at the European University Institute, Università per Stranieri di Perugia, Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Milano-Bicocca.
